Defense authorities is actively proceeding to revoke the Duke's remaining ceremonial military position under the guidance of the King, the official has declared.

The defense secretary said King Charles had "expressed his desire for this outcome".

Andrew, who was lost his princely title on this past week, kept his rank as a Vice Admiral in the British Navy after relinquishing his other military positions in 2022.

"This is a move that's right, the King has directed us to implement this measure and we're working on that at the moment," the defense secretary stated to a Sunday news program.
